Hi, I’m Rebecca and I’m here to help you take the next steps to a Fitter, stronger and more confident you.

I am a Nurse with a passion for doing tough things and helping others to achieve their goals, whether those goals are to drop fat, gain muscle, simply to feel healthier or to perform better in a sport. Specifically the topic of resilience has always been fascinating as it resonates with me personally.My own journey had me at 15.5st, sitting in my own self pity and seeing no way out of it. For years I had incredibly low self esteem, some from bullying at secondary school and some from always being the 'new girl'. In 2013 roller derby saved my life. With such a welcoming and understanding community I realised I wanted to push harder and start to compete, but I was always out of breath and finally started to get angry that I couldn't do compete at the level I wanted.With that in mind, I started small, jogging for 1 minute, then 3 minutes, then round the block until I eventually completed my first 5k. I enrolled in weightwatchers and started to lose weight. It was my first introduction into really committing to something and seeing results, however, I lost a lot of muscle and was very weak, I was more nimble on the track but couldn't block other people properly as I simply didn't have the force or power to do it.I stopped playing roller derby to focus on commissioning in the Royal Navy, and with that I regained a lot of the weight I had lost. I was, and still am, an emotional eater...something I have learned to be mindful of! After I left training, I felt like there was still something missing...I was not managing to achieve anything challenging.With that I started working with my own coach, who introduced me to resistance training and managing nutrition...I gained a lot of muscle, my progress shot through the roof and I got into Obstacle Course Racing - Spartan. This was one of the toughest physical challenges I had and with every one completed I felt more self worth and confidence.I felt I had to share this with as many people as possible! I really wanted to dig in and help more people realise their full potential.Over the years, I have invested more and more time into understanding the psychology behind habit forming and how to help others implement small changes to see huge progress. It's not linear, and it's not a path that's easy to walk alone.It's always better enjoyed, and more worthwhile with a community of likeminded people surrounding you, completing challenges together!

Since taking part in the 8 week accountability challenge with @rdavidpt I've definitely noticed some huge positive changes.
